Vanessa is awesome live!

Last night I attended Vanessa's live show at the Rock Hall in Cleveland, Ohio. I won the tickets through her email list so they were at Will Call. We got there at 6:30 (doors opened at 8:00pm) and were among the first people there but because they let Will Call AND the regular line go at the same time, and we had to wait to get our tickets, we didnt get to the front as we wanted to :( But we did get to the 5th/6th row or so (it was general admission) and my digital camera does 6x zoom so I got some pretty close up pics. And the bad part was that a lot of the people there were for there for The Wallflowers, who were performing after her, and so even the people there for HER couldn't get to the front (like me). But.. she did see me! Because as she was singing, I was singing along and at least 3 times she looked at me singing along to her music and when I saw her looking at me I started jumping up and down (I'm crazy) and she smiled at me and continued singing. That was pretty cool. And this one girl who liked Vanessa too (she was singing along) saw that I was behind this REALLY TALL guy so she let me go in front of her at times to take pics (Vanessa's fans rock!). Only bad parts were that she complained that she was getting sick.. which I did read on the VCMB earlier yesterday.. and she had to blow her nose in between two songs. The funniest part was that she burped as she was singing "Wanted"! She started singing the first verse, she wasn't too far into it, and then she stopped playing & singning and let out this HUGE burp. Everyone was laughing, including Vanessa. It was hilarious. She played A Thousand Miles, Ordinary Day, Wanted, Rinse, Pretty Baby, Twilight, Paint it Black (not in that order) and a new song but she didn't say what the name of it was, but one of the lyrics on the main chorus was "You're such a wannabe." She also mentioned that her mother is Jewish, which is pretty cool cuz I'm Jewish too, lol. After her show we left (we didn't care too much about the Wallflowers) and went out to the back of the Museum to see if she would come out and sign autographs. We waited a long time, and talked to an MTV guy who said that was getting really really sick and they were surprised she made it through the show, and tha they think she has a chest infection. They ended up pulling a car really close to the doors, opening the car doors, and after like 45 minutes, she came out but of course she couldn't stop to sign autographs or whatnot. She was surrounded by people but she did wave and smile. I got a pic of her there too. In fact I got maybe 35 pics of the whole thing but I haven't gotten the chance to upload them to my hard drive, let alone the net, because I'm spending my break from work at the library typing this out :) So, with that all said, the concert rocked, but I really hope she gets better soon! PICS TO COME SOON!!

L et me start off by saying that if you plan to take pics at her shows, you better make sure you dont have a flash or good as hell at hiding your camera. I got a 400 dollar camera taken from me after one pic. the show was pretty good, she didnt play pretty baby or paradise(my fav) but she played all the rest of her songs of the album. she ended the show with red ditty. I will talk more about the show in the morning, my girlfriend is on the floor and she drove 100 miles to hang out with me and see VC, so I must give her the attention now, all in all her set was short but pretty good. I got 2 pics of her, one with me after the show(they did return my camera to me after the show). stay tuned for more info.
